The grape varieties used are Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, and Baco. Distillation occurs at temperatures ranging from 54 to 58 degrees, lower than other brandies. This process enhances the wine essence within the Armagnac, although it may lack the refinement found in cognacs. Upon inspection, the armagnac displays a pale amber color with hints of orange and possesses a mild rancio, which is a desirable indicator of well-executed maturation.
