The region's climate is characterized by gentle humidity and sunny autumns, while the soil consists of siliceous clay lacking in lime, imparting a delicacy and aromatic quality to Bas Armagnacs. The distillation process occurs at temperatures ranging from 54 to 58 degrees Fahrenheit, lower than other types of brandy, which allows for more pronounced wine notes but with less refinement compared to cognacs. Notably, this Armagnac showcases a deep flavor profile of prune and walnut, complemented by hints of oak and nutty aromas. It boasts a very opulent style with aromas of coffee, vanilla, orange, and cocoa. Its flavor is characterized by gentle and smooth notes of coffee, cocoa, and wood.
