Hennessy released a limited edition Cognac called Edition Particuliere in 2014. Only 29 bottles were made and each bottle is made of Baccarat crystal with a special seal made by Maison Guerlain. The Cognac is stored in French oak barrels and is a blend of carefully chosen eaux-de-vie that are over 100 years old. These eaux-de-vie are from a very rare era and represent the heart and soul of Edition Particuliere. Hennessy has a history of creating unique and elegant blends, and this blend was created by Alfred Fillioux, the great grandfather of Hennessy's current Master Blender, Yann Fillioux. The release of this limited edition blend is considered a milestone for Hennessy. The Cognac has a strong structure and expressive flavor. The eaux-de-vie matured for a long time, allowing them to gain depth and concentration. The blend has a distinctive nose with hints of spices like clove and Szechuan pepper. The palate reveals notes of dried fruits, apricot, prune, and a balanced finish with hints of seasoned wood and fresh leather.
