Our Cognac is meticulously crafted according to strict standards set by Master Blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, which have been passed down from one generation to the next. However, when it comes to enjoying Cognac, we have always defied conventions since our inception. Hennessy has been producing exceptional cognacs since 1765, and the Hennessy Very Special represents the expert knowledge of our Tasting Committee. Only the most exceptional eaux-de-vie are carefully chosen and aged in oak casks for several years, before being skillfully blended to bring out their rich and full-bodied flavor. The color is a deep golden shade with hints of ruby. The aroma is characterized by the scent of Limousin oak, grilled almonds, hazelnut, and vanilla. In the background, there is a subtle hint of vanilla and a touch of ground ginger. On the palate, one can taste the freshness of grapes and green apples, representing the younger elements in the blend, followed by mature flavors of orange and wood. The ginger from the aroma slowly transforms into a finish dominated by warm winter spices like cinnamon and clove.
