Korbel Champagne Cellars, a winery in Sonoma County, produces a brandy called Korbel Gold Reserve VSOP. This brandy has been aged for more than two years in American oak barrels that were charred. It has a deep and complex flavor profile, beginning with dark fruit notes and progressing to cedar, tobacco, and smoky oak flavors derived from the charred barrels in which it was aged.
